Fire Suppressants

Extinguishing fires without further harm

  • The Linde clean-agent systems FS 125 and FS 227 use NAF S 125 & NAF S 227. These are electrically non-conductive agents that leave no residues when released, providing a safer environment for your valuable assets.

    Unlike conventional powder or water-based systems, fires are extinguished cleanly without causing additional damage, thereby minimising disruption to your business.

    For mobile handheld fire suppression equipment, Linde offers the innovative FS P 5 streaming agent. This new Zero ODP clean-agent is offering an advantageous alternative to Halon 1211 (to be phased out) and other clean-agents, such as carbon dioxide or HFC 236fa.

    Fire Suppression Systems - Linde FS 125:


    High performing: at least 20% more efficient at extinguishing fires than comparable products available in the market, requiring less agent by weight

  • Design advantages arising from 80 % lower space consumption compared to inert gas systems and high pressure options

  • Safe for humans and equipment thanks to a special additive, that significantly reduces the generation of toxic and/or corrosive breakdown products like Hydrogen fluoride

  • Safe due to fast extinguishment of fires (discharge in 10 seconds compared to 60 seconds for inert gases)

  • Safe in both occupied and unoccupied areas (highest fire rating - class A+B+C fires)

  • Safe for the environment: zero ozone depletion potential (ODP)

  • Internationally recognised: UL listed, ISO accredited.



Fire Suppression Systems - Linde FS 227:

  • High performing - at least 5% more efficient at extinguishing fires than comparable products available in the market, requiring less agent by weight (except vs FS 125 systems)

  • Design advantages arising from 80 % lower space consumption compared to inert gas systems and high pressure options

  • Design applications for maritime markets, e.g. for ship building or oil rigs ( IMO listed )

  • Safe for humans and equipment thanks to a special additive, that significantly reduces the generation of toxic and/or corrosive breakdown products like Hydrogen fluoride

  • Safe due to fast extinguishment of fires (discharge in 10 seconds compared to 60 seconds for inert gases)

  • Safe in both occupied and unoccupied areas (highest fire rating - class A+B+C fires)

  • Safe for the environment: zero ozone depletion potential (ODP)

  • Internationally recognised: UL listed, ISO accredited.



Fire Suppression Systems - Linde FS P5:

The Montreal Protocol has led to the phase-out of Halon 1211 in new portable fire extinguishers. Many governments around the world have already mandated their decommissioning in line with agreed phase-out programs. Therefore new fire suppressant systems for portable fire extinguishers are needed.

Linde is able to offer NAF P5 for mobile fire suppression equipment. NAF P5 is a reliable, effective and clean streaming agent that does not harm the environment. Its patented formula optimises both the physical and extinguishing characteristics closely to those of Halon 1211. As with Halon 1211 extinguishers, NAF P 5 systems can be safely used when an inert, volatile and electrically non conducting media is essential or desirable.

  • Safe for humans and equipment thanks to a special additive, that significantly reduces the generation of toxic and/or corrosive breakdown products like hydrogen fluoride

  • Best in class performance amongst streaming HFC agents (highest fire rating for class A+B fires)

  • Safe for the environment: zero ozone depletion potential (ODP)

  • Conventional portable fire extinguishers containing 2 kg and 4 kg of NAF P5 have been rated in accordance with European Standard EN 3 as 5A-55B and 13A-113BC.
