Bangkok, 22 June 2012: Thai Industrial Gases Public Company Limited (TIG), a member of The Linde Group, today announced its official rebrand as Linde (Thailand) Public Company Limited [‘Linde Thailand’]. The brand change from TIG to Linde is part of a global programme to position the companies within The Linde Group under a single Linde brand.
Linde is Thailand’s leading gases company, with the most comprehensive industrial, specialty and medical gases product portfolio and largest direct sales network across the nation. With more than 40 years of successful operations, the company combines deep local knowledge with global expertise, resources and best operating practices to provide high quality total gas solutions to a variety of industries across Thailand.
Mr Keerin Chutumstid, Managing Director of Linde Thailand said, “Today we celebrate a momentous milestone in our company’s history. We are proud to become Linde in Thailand, and aspire to significantly expand our business in the future. With the strong backing of our parent company The Linde Group, we will actively continue to introduce innovative and technology-led solutions that will add value to our customers’ businesses, and in turn contribute to further economic progress in the country.”
Mr Bernd Eulitz, Regional Business Unit Head for Linde’s gases business in South & East Asia said, "The Linde Group is very positive about the many opportunities we see in Thailand. We will continue to invest in this important market to further extend our supply and distribution capabilities, and ensure we are well positioned to support our customers in their growth and investment plans here.”
Last July, the company announced that it will invest Bt 3.5 billion to install a new air separation plant in the Eastern Industrial Estate (EIE) at Map Ta Phut, Rayong. This new plant will be the largest liquid air separation plant in the country, capable of producing 800 tons per day of liquefied gases, once it is commissioned in September 2013. Linde Thailand has also invested Bt 417 million to upgrade its infrastructure, including the installation of a new nitrogen compressor and pipeline network at Map Ta Phut.
From 22 June 2012 onwards, the company’s new logo will make its appearance on all its corporate signages, communications materials and assets. The conversion period is expected to last several months.
