Bangkok, Thailand - 30 April 2012: Singapore-based Linde Gas Asia Pte. Ltd, a member of The Linde Group, with the support of its Thailand unit, Thai Industrial Gases Public Co. Ltd. (TIG), has made a donation of THB150,000 and 42 bicycles to the CCF Foundation.
The gifts were presented to the foundation’s Operations Manager, Khun Monrudi Niamraksa, on 4 April 2012 during Linde’s annual regional management conference which was held this year at the Shangri-La Bangkok. Khun Monrudi was accompanied by two children who are beneficiaries of CCF’s programmes - Peerawat Runkasem and Umaporn Siengtienchai.
The gift presentation was witnessed by about 320 Linde employees attending the conference. They hail from 11 countries from around the South & East Asia region, including 41 staff from TIG. The employees had assembled the bicycles that were presented to the foundation.
The CCF Foundation, which comes under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, operates in 43 provinces throughout Thailand. It aims to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children, broaden their educational opportunities, and enhance the community’s potential to support and protect the children’s well-being. Through 50 years of effort, some 100,000 at-risk children have benefitted from the foundation’s developmental programmes.
Said Mr Bernd Eulitz, Managing Director of Linde Gas Asia, “Linde is a strong advocate of corporate social responsibility. Through local and regional initiatives, we work towards promoting safety & health, education, local community development and environmental protection. We have provided aid to victims of major natural disasters in the countries we operate in the region and to disadvantaged groups in society. We are also active in programmes that support education and environmental management. We are therefore pleased to make this contribution to support the foundation’s programmes that benefit needy children.”
CCF is grateful for the gifts. Said its National Director, Dr Kanchada Piriyarangsan, “With the contribution, our children will be given greater opportunity to improve their learning skills appropriate to their age, and to be ‘smart, good and happy’.”
